AN: This is the first part of a MUCH longer piece, which I've decided is going to have to be chaptered because LJ tends not to let you post anything more than thirteen A4 pages of size 14 Times New Roman font in one document, and the full thing is already twenty two pages and growing. It is dedicated to the GORGEOUSsnugduff who recently did me a MASSIVE favour, in return for Will/Marian fic. The Will/Marian-ness will follow after this chapter. This chapter was actually really me just 'writing myself in' as it were - it's an 'in' for the rest of the story. I would have cut it for being extraineous - but it was too lovely and fluffy for me not to put it up as a sort of prologue. Anyway, enjoy,snugduff (the next part will be up soon) - and THANK YOU!
