Stating the Obvious

“It’s not fair, you know,” Allan says.

“What isn’t?”

“You – being so gorgeous – it’s not fair on the rest of us,” Allan tells her, because they are out of the castle in the sunshine, sitting in a field full of rabbits who are living up to their reputation. He has told Guy that he will guard her. “Leave some pretty for the rest of us to be, why don’t you? No one else can compete.”

Marian gives him a reproving glance. “Guy will not take too kindly to you flirting, Allan.”

“Who said anything about flirting?” Allan holds up his hands, “I’m stating an honest fact.”

Then he winks at her, and for a moment, she wants to kiss him.

I know It's weird that, as two of the most secrative characters on the show, both Marian and Allan's most honest relationship is with each other. But I like that about them. It makes them less complicated to write. -_^

It was difficult, but in the end I just used it them as a setting. Still, it was a good starting point. (And yes, they DO work well together. ^_^)
