I stayed up until I heard he'd got Ohio and the estimates for getting Florida turned in his favour, and then I was like 'Oh, we WON this shit.' and went to bed. Sure enough, woke up at six the next morning, checked online and there was Obama's victory speech. ^_^

OH. MY. GOD. I screamed myself hoarse last night, and positively bawled all through his acceptance speech. Most amazing moment of my life so far. For probably the first time, I'm proud to be an American because YES WE FUCKING CAN!!!!!!

I cried. My family cried. My friends cried. Then i joined the workers at the local Obama headquarters and partied till 3. I am still smiling. And, word is they might get a rescue puppy!!!!!
